Dark Wolf Solutions is looking for a Business Development Operations Professional to lead and support our business development efforts, with a primary focus on sales operations, pipeline development, content development, and price-to-win strategies. As part of the Growth Team, this individual will be responsible for expanding and managing our sales pipeline, driving the implementation of business development processes, developing high-quality content to support business development efforts, and contributing to our pricing strategy to ensure competitive and profitable bids. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of sales operations expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience with pipeline management, content creation, and pricing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- BD Operations
- Implement Growth Team processes to streamline and coordinate activities across the business development lifecycle, from lead generation to deal close.
- Drive implementation of the Control Gate process in a consistent and sustained manner by working with Growth Team and Practice Areas to review and validate opportunities and ongoing capture efforts in alignment with corporate goals and pipeline.
- Act as liaison between Growth Team and Practice Areas to ensure seamless coordination, resource allocation, and execution of growth initiatives.
- Lead or support strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects aimed at driving business growth and operational efficiency, including building TO response engine for new IDIQs/BPAs
- Pipeline Management
- Conduct market research to identify leads in core capability areas, priority market segments, and on IDIQ/GWAC portfolio to expand the pipeline (near term to 5-years).
- Work with Practice Area Leads to ensure that leads, opportunities, and deals are properly classified, tracked, and progressed according to established capture stages and criteria.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the pipeline to ensure accurate tracking of opportunities and stages within Federal Compass.
- Work closely with the Growth Team and Practice Areas to ensure timely follow-up, qualification, and closure of opportunities in alignment with sales targets and goals.
- Monitor key metrics (e.g., conversion rates, win rates, sales cycle length) and provide regular reports and insights to leadership on pipeline health and sales performance.
- Act as a liaison between Growth Team and Practice Areas to communicate pipeline insights, identify needs, and align on goals and strategies.
- Content Development
- Draft content in response to RFIs, RFPs, and other business opportunities, ensuring responses are tailored to client requirements, with a clear and compelling narrative.
- Review proposal documents for completeness, compliance with RFP/RFI requirements, and quality standards.
- Price-to-Win (PTW) Support
- Work with Practice Areas and Operations Team to lead the development and implementation of price-to-win strategies for priority opportunities, ensuring that pricing is competitive, strategic, and aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with Practice Areas and Operations Team to gather the necessary competitive intelligence to support the creation of pricing strategies that maximize profitability while ensuring competitiveness in the marketplace.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong writing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Suite
- Minimum of 7 years of proposal development experience for Federal Government opportunities
- Ability to ideate through and solve ambiguous situations and problems
- Proactive attitude/entrepreneurial spirit and problem solver who takes initiative
- Demonstrated ability to form excellent working relationships with all levels of employees
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work independently under pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, when necessary
- U.S. Citizenship and an active U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher
Desired Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of the Federal Government’s contracting processes; understanding of the Federal Government’s buying process/acquisition lifecycle
- Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Shipley proposal process
- Experience managing GSA GWACs or multiple award ID/IQs
- Experience with Google Workspace products to include Google Docs
- Experience in and/or understanding of technical concepts in the areas of cybersecurity,
software development, data science, and systems engineering
The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $110,000 - $165,000, commensurate on experience.
