Job Overview:
As a Traveling Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality meals and managing culinary execution across various client locations. You will work closely with our chefs to oversee food preparation for daily service and catered events, ensuring consistency, quality, and safety. This role requires a highly skilled, detail-oriented culinary professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working in different settings throughout the region.
Responsibilities:
- Lead or support the preparation and execution of all served food, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Assist the chef team with prep, execution, and oversight for daily deliveries and off-site catering events.
- Follow standard recipes, while also accommodating dietary needs and client preferences.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, following all health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment, including proper sanitation of equipment and surfaces.
- Restock and maintain pantry items and kitchen supplies as needed for client sites.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and food production standards at all locations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members to foster a positive, hospitality-driven atmosphere.
- Monitor and help manage inventory and ordering to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to deliver creative, memorable dining experiences.
- Ensure food preparation and service align with Dartcor’s brand standards and client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a sous chef or senior cook in a professional kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to culinary excellence.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced settings and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Effective team player with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and client-facing experience a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to kitchen operations.
- A passion for hospitality, creativity, and culinary innovation.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel regularly between locations.
