Manager I, Engineering - Dashboards

Datadog Dashboards allows customers to analyze data from across their entire system in a single pane of glass. As an Engineering Manager on Dashboards, you will lead and scale two engineering teams as we look to innovate and expand into new business opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and growth-oriented organization. You will be responsible for working closely with product and design stakeholders to shape the product and technical roadmap.

What You’ll Do: 

• Manage and grow two teams, taking on 6 initial direct reports with up to 11 by end of year. You will be responsible for facilitating growth and development of your people, aligning opportunities and potential
• Spearhead large product initiatives that unlock new business opportunities. Drive the team’s roadmap including quarterly OKRs alongside product and design, providing relevant visibility to the team and internal stakeholders
• Be technically involved with the team. Reviewing architectural decisions through RFCs and setting a high bar of operational excellence
• Work cross-functionally with several internal teams, with the unified goal of driving the Datadog product forward
• Run, optimize and scale team structure and processes to ensure successful delivery of high-quality work
  
  

Who You Are: 

• You have a proven experience of managing teams of 6+ engineers with a broad range of seniority
• You are a product-oriented leader with a strong record of consistent feature delivery
• You thrive at resolving ambiguity, managing stakeholders and providing clear direction for your teams
• You have a strong technical background in backend software development and are interested in remaining a hands-on leader
• You have experience operating live services with a high bar of operational excellence
• You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience
