ABOUT BRIGHTSOLID:
Brightsolid (part of DC Thomson) is a successful and ambitious MSP looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help accelerate our long-term growth. With data centres in Dundee and Aberdeen, we’re one of the best-known IT brands in Scotland and have a great reputation north of the border.
In recent years we’ve added public cloud, backup as a service and cybersecurity to sit alongside our colocation, networking and private cloud services, which means we’ve been able to start attracting customers outside of Scotland. We have won some great business over the past 12 months, have strengthened our Sales Team and opened a Manchester office earlier in 2024. However, our market has never been more competitive, so we have been evolving the way we sell. We’re working hard to get in front of prospects much earlier in the sales cycle, so we can build relationships and help shape the opportunities that come to market. We are currently doing this through a variety of marketing and sales techniques and are now looking for an exceptional SDR to help take this very top-of-the-pipeline work to the next level.
ABOUT YOU AND THE ROLE:
This role is all about building relationships with external prospects, so you’ll definitely need to be a ‘people person’. A confident and polished communicator, you’ll be able to engage with people at all levels.
However, you’ll need to have more than just people skills. You’ll also need a logical, detailed approach to work as a key part of this role will be mapping out overviews of key verticals and the organisations within them. You’ll identify prospect organisations and the key decision makers and influencers within them, and you’ll be able to gather all the information you, and ultimately the Sales Team, will need to build successful relationships with those prospects, turning key business insights into compelling propositions that generate interest in Brightsolid’s services.
Ideally, you have a great understanding of the cloud and cybersecurity markets in north England and/or Scotland, and a wide-reaching network that you can tap into.
You’ll have a degree or equivalent relevant experience and eager to accelerate your career in sales. This role will provide you with a fantastic grounding in how sales teams operate, equipping you with all the skills you need to move into a business development or account management role.
WHAT WE'RE OFFERING:
As well as a very competitive remuneration and benefits package, we’ll give you the freedom to do what you do best and all the tools and support you need to succeed. We have an open, empowering culture and you will be a key part of a very dynamic Sales and Marketing Team. There is also a clear career path into field sales or account management, if that is something you are interested in.
