The Democratic Governors Association (DGA), the campaign committee responsible for electing and supporting Democratic governors, is seeking an Executive Coordinator. The Executive Coordinator primarily provides logistical and administrative support to the DGA’s Executive Director while also supporting the efforts of other senior staff. The Executive Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating projects and information across the entire organization.
The expected salary for this position is $75,000 annually; salary is commensurate with experience.
Primary Responsibilities - Strategically and discreetly manage all aspects of the schedule and travel logistics of the Executive Director and Chief of Staff;
- Regularly provide status updates to the Executive Director regarding ongoing requests, internal projects, and other relevant matters;
- Help the Executive Director prioritize ongoing projects and incoming requests;
- At the request of the Executive Director, coordinate meetings with staff, governors, candidates, donors, and/or principals of allied organizations across the country while autonomously handling the logistical responsibilities to make sure these meetings are successful;
- At the request of the Executive Director or Chief of Staff, manage special projects and coordinate logistics and information among internal staff to make sure projects are completed on time and at/under budget;
- Coordinate internal meetings and proactively communicate with participants to make sure materials are prepared to ensure these meetings are efficient and successful;
- Format and/or produce internal memos and briefings as requested by the Executive Director or Chief of Staff;
- Exercise self-judgment to respond quickly and accurately to requests from senior level staff, as well as key staff of governors, candidates, donors, and/or principals of allied organizations;
- Exercise self-judgment to prioritize tasks to make sure all goals are achieved on time;
- Help with other special projects, assignments, and tasks as assigned by the Executive Director, Chief of Staff, and/or other senior DGA staff.
Minimum Qualifications- At least two years of work experience supporting the scheduling and meeting logistics of key principal(s);
- Extremely strong attention to detail;
- Proven record of being highly organized while also providing support to organize others;
- Ability to provide discreet and confidential support to executives, elected officials, and/or key principals;
- Proficiency using modern technology and software to efficiently solve operational problems;
- Superb communication skills;
- Ability to work efficiently and autonomously while meeting tight deadlines;
- Must be comfortable with long, irregular hours during peak seasons;
- Strong, proven record of punctuality and attendance;
- Consistent professionalism working with strategic partners, donors, candidates, and governors;
- Knowledge of the Democratic governors, the Democratic Party, their historical donor and electoral bases, and Democratic campaigns;
- A strong interest in politics and a commitment to advancing the principles and goals of the nation’s Democratic governors.

Closing
The DGA offices are based in downtown Washington, DC and the Executive Coordinator role requires in-office work with limited flexibility. The DGA will work with potential candidates to schedule remote interviews and process on-boarding procedures remotely, if necessary.
