Job Overview:
We are looking for five QA Engineer Automated 3s to join our IT Applications team focusing on Social Services Applications. In this role, you will design automated tests and create scripts that run testing functions automatically. This position involves determining the priority for test scenarios, creating execution plans, and designing documentation for automated processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform software quality assurance, testing, and support for various Social Services applications including TIERS, YourTexasBenefits.com, and the YourTexasBenefits Mobile App.
- Develop, enhance, maintain, and execute existing and new test plans and scenarios using Agile methodologies.
- Participate in requirements analysis, test design, test data preparation, and testing of application components.
- Collaborate with other teams to accomplish organizational goals.
- Create technical and design documentation for automated processes.
- Employ contemporary testing methods to ensure applications function properly and without error.
- Provide technical support for testing and implementation efforts.
- Participate in program design, coding, and test walk-through meetings to provide input on technical standards and customer requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 8 years of experience with the principles, practices, and techniques of software development and the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile methodologies.
- Minimum 8 years of knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of computer systems, IT equipment, programming languages, hardware, and software.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in analyzing requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to write test plans and scenarios.
- Minimum 8 years of skill in analyzing software applications, defects, and business problems to devise innovative solutions.
- At least 3 years of experience with HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT), Katalon, HP LoadRunner, SoapUI, LoadUI, Selenium, HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), HP Product Portfolio Management (PPM), SQL, XML; familiarity with creating and running interface files and batch processes preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience working with varied levels of development, testing staff, and end-users using Agile principles and methodologies.
- At least 3 years of hands-on software quality assurance (manual and/or automated testing) experience using tools such as HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT), SoapUI, Selenium, HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), HP Product Portfolio Management (PPM), JIRA, JAMA, PLSQL.
Educational Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science, computer information systems, engineering, or management information systems is strongly preferred.
