Middle/Senior DB Developer (financial domain, #TSCM-40181)

ELEKS Software Engineering and Development Office is looking for a Middle/Senior DB Developer in Poland or Croatia. 

ABOUT PROJECT

Our client is a large USA-based Software Company operating in the finance sector, serving major international banks, accounting firms, and other organizations that utilize various web or desktop applications to digitize and optimize their processes.

The project's current product is a bank web application for the creation and submission of client invoices and planning budgets, based on gathered data.

• 4+ years of experience in development with Oracle Database
• Knowledge of PL/SQL or Transact-SQL
• Knowledge of relational DBMS architecture
• Experience in database schema design
• Knowledge of database performance tuning
• Linux shell or Windows batch scripting knowledge
• Knowledge of network protocols
• Knowledge of XML
• Upper-Intermediate level of English

• Develop solutions and algorithms according to technical specifications or other requirements documentation
• Use standard algorithms in the applicable cases
• Write program code according to the defined application architecture
• Structure and format source code, comment and mark up the code, as well as name variables, functions, classes, data structures, and files according to the company conventions and industry best practices
• Track changes, compare source code in the defined version control system
• Commit changes according to version control rules
• Perform analysis, verification, and debugging of the software code at the level of application units
• Detect defects, apply debugging methods and techniques, correctly interpret bug reports, as well as apply modern compilers, debuggers, and program code optimizers
• Agree on task deadlines with the Project Manager or the Technical Leader
