Job Summary:

The IT Service Desk Intern provides first-level support for technical infrastructure, including Windows and macOS computers, as well as various client-based IT applications and services. This role is ideal for someone passionate about technology and delivering exceptional customer service in a professional and approachable manner.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver excellent end-to-end user support by promptly resolving or escalating issues, maintaining professional and timely communication throughout.

- Serve as the liaison for logging, dispatching, and tracking incidents and service requests; follow up to ensure resolution and fulfillment.

- Provision and stage hardware for employees.

- Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues for end users, recommending and implementing effective solutions.

- Document resolutions and contribute to self-help and knowledge base content.

- Assist in the procurement of hardware and software.

- Perform asset management tasks, including maintaining accurate inventory records.

- Troubleshoot user workstations and related hardware/software to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve escalated issues.

- Provide after-hours support when needed.

- Adhere to company IT policies and procedures.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology or a related technical field.

- Strong interest in technology, customer support, and IT security.

- Hands-on experience with hardware provisioning and troubleshooting.

- Solid working knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, MS Office, and other productivity tools.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical concepts in user-friendly language.

- Effective interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude.

- Ability to research and learn about new tools, technologies, and solutions as needed.
