Job Summary:
As a Digital Design Intern at e.l.f. Beauty, you will assist the digital design team in creating and executing engaging, on-brand visual assets for campaigns, social media, e-commerce, and paid media. Your work will support the growth of multiple e.l.f. Beauty brands across various digital touchpoints. You will have the opportunity to present designs, collaborate across teams, and learn the ins and outs of digital-first design for a leading beauty brand.
Responsibilities:
- Digital Asset Design: Support the digital design team by designing assets for seasonal campaigns, project launches, e-commerce, paid media, and social platforms while adhering to brand guidelines.
- Asset Presentation & Feedback: Present digital designs to internal management, incorporating feedback with creative, solution-oriented thinking.
- Digital-First Design: Design with a mobile-first and digital-centric mindset, ensuring designs are optimized for all digital platforms and devices.
- Image Selection: Curate and select images from the asset database to be used in marketing materials, ensuring high-quality and on-brand visuals.
- Asset Auditing & Updates: Audit and update outdated or off-brand assets across social media feeds, e-commerce platforms, and the website to ensure consistency and freshness of brand visuals.
Requirements:
- Able to commit up to 40 hours a week from early Junr to late August.
- Must be able to commute to our NYC office for the duration of the internship.
- Currently a rising Junior/Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- 1+ years of design experience in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment (experience in the fashion, technology, or beauty industry is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects.
- Animation Skills: Experience in animation (GIFs, short videos, motion graphics) is a plus.
- E-Commerce & UX/UI: Experience working in an e-commerce setting and with personalization and UX/UI design is a plus.
-Strong understanding of current fashion, beauty, digital, and design trends.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting designs and collaborating within a creative team.
- A highly creative, out-of-the-box thinker who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings fresh ideas to the table.
