Content Marketing Manager

At Emi Labs we are on a mission to increase Frontline Workers’ access to professional opportunities.


This is a 2.7 billion population that accounts for 80% of the world’s workforce. They are digitally invisible, as there’s little to no data available on who they are, their career history, or their skill set, limiting their access to professional opportunities and growth. We're here to transform this by building the infrastructure to make Frontline Workers visible. 


Our first step to achieving our mission is to transform the recruiting experience into an easy, human and fair process, for both candidates and companies with high-volume job openings.

Emi, our main product, is an A.I. recruitment assistant that enables companies to engage in a conversation with each applicant to detect interested and qualified individuals while saving Recruiters a huge amount of time by automating tasks such as screening, validating skills, scheduling interviews, and collecting documents. 


We were part of Y-Combinator's Winter 2019 batch and in 2022 we have raised an $11M funding round co-led by Merus Capital and Khosla Ventures.


About the Marketing Team


Our marketing team is a small, growing team responsible for generating leads for our business, creating brand awareness, organizing events, and generating different types of content across platforms. We work closely with teams across Emi, including Customer Success, Product, and Sales.

Our team is highly collaborative, proactive, and fast-moving.


About the Role

The Content Marketing Manager will develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy tailored to the Mexican market. The ideal candidate will have top-down experience in content generation, from strategizing to creating and managing content that resonates with the local audience, aligns with business objectives, and enhances brand awareness on the right platforms.


This hybrid role in CDMX requires a marketing content generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be comfortable working within a small marketing team while driving impact for a large business with ambitious goals. They should also embrace the opportunity to contribute in multiple areas and work at both the strategic and tactical levels.


We are seeking someone excited about supporting other marketing activities beyond content creation. This isn’t just about being willing to help — it's about enjoying the variety and seeing it as a key reason to join our team.



Tasks/Activities
  • Content Strategy Development: Design and implement a content strategy that aligns with Emi Labs' goals in the B2B Mexican market, focusing on high-volume recruitment challenges and solutions.​
  • Editorial Calendar Management: Develop and maintain a content calendar for all platforms to ensure timely delivery across all channels, aligning with other marketing campaigns and client and product updates.
  • Content Creation: Produce, edit, post, and oversee high-quality content, ensuring cultural relevance and engagement for the Mexican B2B market. This includes creating and posting case studies, multimedia content (including video snippets), social media updates, blog posts, whitepapers, and reports. ​
  • SEM Optimization: Utilize SEM best practices to edit copy on the website, enhance content visibility, and drive organic traffic and leads. Conducted keyword research specific to the Mexican market and integrated findings into content planning.​
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, such as engagement rates and web traffic, to inform future content strategies and improvements.​
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with customer success, product, and sales teams to ensure content supports Emi’s overall business goals: lead generation, brand awareness, relationship advancement, and sales enablement efforts.​ The ability to manage projects cross-functionally with input from other teams is expected.
  • Proactive support of other marketing initiatives as needed, including events, basic design, and demand generation efforts and campaigns.


What we're looking for
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.​
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in content management, preferably within the B2B sector, focusing on the Mexican market.​ Being comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment with the ability to switch between strategic and hands-on tactical tasks on the fly is expected.
  • Language Proficiency: Native or fluent in Mexican Spanish with strong writing and editing skills; proficiency in English is required.​
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in content management systems (Hootsuite, Descript, CapCut, LinkedIn platform), SEO tools, and analytics platforms (Google Analytics). Experience and know-how leveraging AI platforms in the process creation process and prompt writing (ChatGPT, etc). Basic knowledge of design (Canva) and HTML/web publishing is advantageous (Webflow).​
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and self-manage projects.
