We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on Director of Client Services to lead our small account team and help us scale to our next stage of growth. This role is responsible for developing a team of Account Executives/Mangers, overseeing key client relationships, and playing a direct role in qualifying leads, supporting demos, and driving proposal success.
You’ll work closely with the CEO and COO to grow revenue, improve retention, and ensure delivery excellence across all client engagements. If you enjoy developing people, strengthening relationships, and scaling client service operations - this is the opportunity to lead from the center of it all.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a team of account managers and associate AMs, assigning accounts and coaching for success
- Manage client relationships, especially top-tier accounts, and deliver Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
- Oversee lead qualification and proposal development using HubSpot
- Run or support capability demos for warm leads and prospects
- Collaborate with our marketing, creative, advertising, and web teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and strategic alignment
- Monitor team bandwidth and service delivery using Teamwork
- Track and report on client satisfaction, upsell pipeline, retention, and account profitability
- Refine Encore’s account management tools, templates, and processes
Requirements
- 6–8 years of account management experience in a marketing agency or similar setting
- 2+ years managing or mentoring account teams
- Proven ability to grow client relationships and support revenue targets
- Confidence leading strategic conversations and client-facing presentations
- Experience qualifying leads, running demos, and supporting proposal strategy
- Comforte working in HubSpot and Teamwork
- Excellent communication, time management, and team leadership skills
Preferred but not required:
- Experience with economic development or HR/internal communications clients
- Familiarity with SEO, digital strategy, or web project lifecycles
- Prior responsibility for client satisfaction metrics, QBRs, or account expansion planning
