About the Role 

As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the hospital’s in-house lab and ensuring seamless operations. You’ll work closely with our hospital staff, handling specimens, running diagnostic tests, and ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and safety. 

• Handle, process, and run diagnostic tests on samples with precision and care. 
• Follow all laboratory quality control, safety, and procedural guidelines, including OSHA standards. 
• Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment such as IDEXX Catalyst (chemistry machine), IDEXX ProCyte (CBC machine), centrifuges, and SNAP testing devices. 
• Maintain and clean laboratory equipment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace. 
• Communicate test results effectively with hospital staff to support patient care. 
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the lab and hospital team. 

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field (biology, animal science, etc.) is often preferred. 
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in veterinary medicine or healthcare, is a plus. 
• Familiarity with laboratory protocols, equipment, and procedures. 
• Basic understanding of lab safety, including OSHA guidelines
