Esper is looking for an experienced Business Operations Manager to help drive this mission forward.
Job Description:
The Business Operations Manager will report to the VP of Operations and be responsible for a broad set of duties ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of the Company. This individual will perform a diverse range of functions primarily within People Operations but also support IT, Offices/Events, Contracts, and ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulations. This role is also responsible for leading and fostering a positive and collaborative culture from Esper HQ in Austin.
What you'll do:
- Manage and administer Company benefits package including insurance, time off and flex benefits
- Employee onboarding and offboarding
- Administer bi-annual 360 performance reviews, provide ongoing support to managers, and track employee satisfaction through quarterly pulse surveys
- Support recruiting by creating job descriptions, interview templates and supporting interview processes
- Manage IT and tool subscriptions, billing and access
- Organize and execute Company events such as Offsites, team-building activities and co-working weeks
- Manage Company equipment, offices and mail
- Manage corporate insurance policies and maintain appropriate coverage consistent with client contracts
- Support Operations team as needed with tasks related to board of directors requests, cap table management, investor updates, contract negotiations and regulatory filings
- Support budget management and forecasting as needed
What we're looking for:
- At least 5+ years in People Operations and/or Business Operations roles
- Diverse skillset capable of handling multi-faceted duties
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize & run concurrent projects
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Ability to apply complex problem solving skills to ambiguous projects
- Exceptional communicator
- Experience in a startup environment
Bonus experience:
- Experience with GovTech organizations is a bonus but not required

The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000 commensurate with experience
