The Clinical Program & Content Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in designing and delivering high-quality clinical education programs and content for providers and patients. This position focuses on creating, curating, and evaluating clinical content for patients and customers, ensuring alignment with current best practices and health literacy. The specialist also works closely with the clinical, product and business teams to support training and education, promote knowledge transfer, and improve patient/customer understanding. The ideal candidate has a strong science background, excellent writing skills, and a passion for translating clinical and diagnostic insights into practical, accessible educational content.
What You'll Do:- Clinical Program Development & Maintenance (40%)
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the field of laboratory diagnostics and telehealth care.
- Conduct background research using peer-reviewed literature search principles in addition to telehealth industry review analyses around clinical telehealth program areas including eligibility and treatment parameters, diagnostics, regulatory and clinical practice guidelines for prospective and current programs.
- Translate and incorporate clinical requirements into proposed program workflows.
- Design clinical workflow visuals for internal knowledge transfer and provider training.
- Create user-friendly and engaging program materials including training materials, technical guides, and review documents for healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
- Support quality assurance processes by identifying gaps or outdated information in clinical and diagnostic content and suggesting improvements.
- Work closely with the product teams to ensure clinical input is reflected in new program builds/improvements to existing platforms.
- Support electronic health record patient care plan language templates.
- Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously with cross-functional teams.
- Clinical and Diagnostic Content Development & Management (60%)
- Research, develop, edit, and proofread high-quality clinical and diagnostic content directed to consumers, patients and providers.
- Ensure clinical requirements for virtual care telehealth programs are incorporated into scripting, engagement communications, and product detail pages.
- Create and maintain scripts related to diagnostic results and clinical programs.
- Ensure accuracy and understanding of diagnostic interpretation information.
- Work closely with clinical and product teams to gather relevant information and develop targeted communications ensuring clinical and scientific accuracy in engaging content.
- Tailor content to various audiences, including healthcare providers, patients, regulatory authorities, and the general public, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
- Support customer and patient escalations related diagnostic and clinical programs.
Who You Are:- Bachelor’s Degree in scientific field or journalism or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare.
Skills and Abilities Required:- Familiarity with medical terminology and regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA).
- Familiarity with using medical references like PubMed and UpToDate.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to translate complex scientific and medical data into clear, engaging content.
- Consistently maintains a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, time and project management skills.

This salary range for this position is $00,000 - $100,000 based on the selected candidate's qualifications, market data/ranges, location (ATX or NYC) and internal equity. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus, health, dental, vision & mental health insurance, 401(k) with company match, Flexible PTO, a monthly $100 wellness stipend and various other perks.
