Summary of Position:

The Alert Communications Sales Development Representative (SDR) will focus on the legal industry and will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and generating new business leads to support the sales team. The BDR will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to identify and pursue new opportunities with law firms across the United State. The BDR’s ultimate goal is to schedule meetings or presentations for Alert Communications Sales Executives to further develop the sales pipeline.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential clients within the legal industry through various channels such as online research, industry events, networking, and cold calling
  • Utilize tools like Salesforce.com, legal industry databases, and professional networks to create and maintain a list of law firms other legal service providers as prospects 
  • Develop a deep understanding of the legal services offered by Alert Communications to effectively communicate value propositions to potential clients in the legal sector
  • Engage with prospects within the legal industry through phone calls, emails, and social media to introduce the company's offerings and assess their specific needs and requirements
  • Qualify leads based on criteria such as practice areas, firm size, needs, budget, and decision-making authority within the law firm
  • Nurture relationships with qualified leads within the legal sector and move them to the top of the sales funnel
  • Set up meetings, product demonstrations, or presentations for the sales team with interested prospects within law firms 
  • Collaborate with Alert Sales Executives to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads and provide necessary background information about legal clients
  • Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities and communications with legal industry clients and prospects in Salesforce.com
  • Generate regular reports on lead generation, pipeline development, and conversion rates within the legal sector 
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities within the legal market and optimize the lead generation process accordingly

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred 
  • 2+ years of legal industry experience required
  • Prior sales experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with clients and prospects in the legal sector
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities within the legal industry
  • This position may require occasional travel for client meetings or legal industry events

The total compensation range for this opportunity is $90,000 - $100,000 plus benefits. This target compensation range is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive and is subject to multiple factors including role, level, experience and location.
