Job Description

Reporting into Head of Data Management you will deliver critical management information and analysis to allow our data managers identify data quality enhancements, monitor data usage and track supplier royalty costs. The quality of the analysis is of utmost importance, and decisions will be taken off the back of it. Alongside this you will directly manage a portfolio of data assets, with responsibility for the daily management including engaging with Product teams and the wider Experian UK&I business.

What you'll do:

  • End-to-End accountability for a nominated set of data assets throughout data lifecycle.
  • Maintain governance documentation (e.g. Record of Compliance, Data Handshakes) up to date.
  • Championing a culture that achieves goals, delights customers and keeps consumer advocacy at the heart of everything that Experian does.
  • Be the subject matter expert (SME) for your nominated data assets, supporting internal stakeholders looking for input, advice and granular detail.
  • Lead by example and follow all regulatory requirements and applying appropriate controls.
  • Support Data Owners with the curation of Management Information (MI) to ensure informed decisions around data usage, including trends and broader analysis.
  • Support regular MI requests for existing Data Office forums including Data Asset Reviews (DARs), Risk Management Meeting (RMG).
  • Ensure MI delivery is tested and validated to high level of accuracy.
  • Embrace your own curiosity around data, to highlight additional trends/insight to support better decisions.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • Around 3 years of experience in a role which involves data management, manipulation or visualisation.
  • Experience with data manipulation tools such as SQL or Snowflake and/or data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI to create dashboards that bring the data to life.
  • Education degree in Data, Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics or similar.
  • Excellent written and verbal English.
  • Knowledge of activities, tasks, practices, deliverables and techniques for implementing enhanced data processing applications into a production environment, including knowledge of the data lifecycle stages.
