Assistant Production Manager - 1st Shift - Toledo, OH

Express Employment is seeking a dedicated Assistant Production Manager for the 1st Shift in Toledo, OH. In this role, you will support the Production Manager in overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager in planning, coordinating, and directing production activities on the 1st shift
• Monitor production processes and performance metrics to ensure efficiency and quality standards are maintained
• Lead and mentor production staff to foster a positive working environment
• Implement and uphold safety protocols and best practices in the production area
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and workflow
• Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the development of solutions
• Prepare and maintain production reports, documenting progress and issues

• Previous experience in manufacturing, with a background in production supervision or management
• Availability to work the 1st Shift
• Strong understanding of production processes, metrics, and quality assurance
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is advantageous
• Knowledge of safety regulations in a manufacturing environment
