About this role

We're looking for a Lead Brand Designer to join our Creative team, focusing on growth marketing initiatives. In this role, you'll create compelling visual designs and creative assets that drive user acquisition and engagement across multiple channels, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute growth marketing strategies.

You'll help set the visual direction for all growth initiatives. You'll deliver high-impact designs to help retailers discover our platform, and believe this is where they can do their wholesale ordering seamlessly and get the best value—whether they're looking for the freshest inventory or buying tried and true staples.

You'll be a key team member in developing long and short term visual strategies to reach both prospective and existing customers, across channels like lifecycle emails, paid ads, and landing pages. You'll be accountable for developing design guidelines, as well as creative assets that will resonate deeply with retailers and inspire them to use and grow their business on our platform.

The ideal candidate is a high-energy, collaborative teammate and leader who's passionate about creating value for small business communities around the world, using design to generate interest and foster conversion among our customers.

What you’ll do 

  • Partner with Paid Marketing teams to develop and optimize visual designs for paid advertising campaigns across various platforms including (but not limited to) Meta, Google, Pinterest, and other emerging channels
  • Collaborate with Lifecycle Marketing Managers to create effective email designs and customer communications
  • Work alongside SEO specialists to craft visual content that improves organic search performance and lead generation
  • Lead design experimentation initiatives, including A/B testing and performance analysis
  • Partner with Creative Writers on ideating and executing world-class creative for growth marketing initiatives
  • Work closely with Product Designers and Content Designers to align marketing visuals with product experience
  • Coordinate with other designers to maintain and evolve brand visual guidelines and assets
  • Demonstrate data-driven rigor to set goals, track performance, iterate based on learnings, and influence creative best practices

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in visual design for marketing, with a focus on growth and performance marketing
  • Strong visual design fundamentals including typography, color theory, layout, and composition to create compelling visuals for our audiences. Must maintain a careful balance between creativity and functionality, while also demonstrating high-quality outputs
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma) with the ability to create assets for a variety of channels and formats
  • Strong motion and editing capabilities with the ability to create compelling motion and video ads across a variety of channels
  • Portfolio of previous work, demonstrating successful growth marketing campaigns and compelling visual designs across different channels and mediums (paid, social, email campaigns, landing pages, digital campaigns)
  • Deep understanding of creative best practices for digital marketing channels
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform design decisions, and influence marketing strategy through data-driven insights
  • Strong understanding of conversion optimization and A/B testing methodologies
  • Experience with responsive design principles across multiple platforms
  • Experience leading strategic design initiatives and managing complex projects independently
  • Excellent collaborative skills and ability to work effectively with creative writers and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to convey creative decisions and executions in a way that inspires stakeholders and audiences
  • A growth mindset. You're open and receptive to feedback, and can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Bonus points if you have experience in:

  • Landing page design optimization for conversion
  • Leveraging AI tools for creative scaling
  • Directing AI-generated content while maintaining brand integrity
  • Understanding of how to use AI to accelerate creative experimentation
  • Designing for B2B or SaaS products

Salary Range

San Francisco: the pay range for this role is $139,500 - $192,000 per year. 

This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule - Faire employees will be expected to go into the office 2 days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, effective the week of January 13, 2025. Additionally, in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year.
