Special Education Teacher

North Hudson Academy, a First Children School, is looking for a passionate and committed Special Education Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with students who have special needs, helping them achieve their personal and educational goals. Our facility serves children ages 3 to 21, with a curriculum tailored to support those with various disabilities.

Your responsibilities will include creating and implementing individualized lesson plans based on each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP), fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment, and collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals to enhance the learning experience. You will also engage with families and community resources to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
• NJ State Certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities
• Experience working with children with special needs in an educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and families
• Committed to fostering a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere
