About the Role

Fivetran data replication connectors have been implemented across many of the world's largest enterprises

As a Lead Solution Architect in the Services team at Fivetran, you will facilitate the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the complete suite of Fivetran connectors through your expertise in various applications, data lakes, databases, and file systems.

Working directly with customer stakeholders, you will define requirements and work to facilitate an architecture and integration that fulfills those requirements. Along the way, you will facilitate the optimization of the implementation through performance tuning, offer best-practice advice on source and target setup & use your analytical skills to troubleshoot issues technically.

An essential part of the role of the Lead Solution Architect, Enterprise will be enabling customers to take responsibility for the installation once it has been tested and is ready for deployment into a Production environment. To this end, you should feel comfortable in producing enablement collateral and training teams to adopt what may be a new software application.

Finally, you will not be working alone; your role will encompass interactions with customer stakeholders and a wide range of internal stakeholders, including Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Sales Engineers, Customer Support Engineers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers. Therefore, you should be comfortable liaising with technical and non-technical stakeholders, triaging on various topics.

This is a full-time position based remotely in the Eastern US covering the Eastern time zone.

What You’ll Do

 

  • As a member of our customer-facing team, you will assist customers with implementing and optimizing Fivetran connectors across various data environments.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
  • Connector Installations: Lead the installation and setup of Fivetran connectors (including application, database, file, and event types) for customers, ensuring environments are prepared for replication. This involves:
  • Preparing environments for replication, including SQL scripting or command-line operations to ensure proper transaction logging, archiving/backup, and table analysis/preparation.
  • Configuring high-volume database connectors using user interfaces (UIs) and command-line tools to meet customer requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Collaborate with customer teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during implementation.
  • Assisting with data validation to ensure accurate data replication.
  • Analyzing and optimizing performance to align with customer expectations.
  • Offering database and environment tuning to improve overall efficiency.
  • Customer Training and Support: Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to customer teams, enabling them to manage Fivetran’s LDP connectors and data pipelines independently.

 

Skills We’re Looking For

 

  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in a customer-facing role, focusing on helping customers implement and optimize data integration solutions.
  • Data Integration and Replication: A strong understanding of data integration and replication, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers.
  • Technical Knowledge Across Databases and Systems: Experience with various databases, data warehouses, and operating systems, enabling support for diverse customer environments.
  • SQL & Command-Line Skills: Proficiency in SQL and command-line scripting to assist with technical setups and troubleshoot issues.
  • Networking and Connectivity: Familiarity with networking concepts, including SSH tunneling and VPNs, to assist customers in configuring secure data replication solutions.
  • Problem-Solving and Optimization: Ability to analyze customer challenges and provide database, data warehouse, and networking optimizations to improve system performance.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers, provide clear explanations, and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Self-Motivated & Customer-Focused: A proactive approach to managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Prioritization and Organizational Skills: Proven ability to prioritize and organize tasks to meet customer needs efficiently.
  • Programming and Automation: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) to automate processes or resolve issues.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes: Experience with Kubernetes or containerized environments is a plus, particularly for cloud-based implementations.

 

Bonus Skills

 

  • Experience with Apache Kafka, New Relic, Salesforce, REST APIs
  • Experience with Data Lakes such as Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage and Microsoft ADLS2
  • Knowledge of mainframe systems such as IBM iSeries
  • SAP
  • Docker or Podman

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the target position and level. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Our job titles may span more than one career level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, business need, market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your location during the hiring process.


This range represents base salary only and does not include incentive for sales roles, equity, or  benefits, if applicable.

$190,080$237,600 USD
