At Lila Sciences, we believe the future of science will be written by those bold enough to rethink how it’s done—and that includes how we build and support the teams driving it.
We’re not just creating AI to accelerate discovery in the lab. We’re pioneering the field of Scientific Superintelligence (SSI)—one of the most ambitious and high-impact frontiers in all of AI. And we’re building the operating system of work to match. From how people are hired, rewarded, and grown, to how collaboration happens across disciplines, our People team is reimagining the infrastructure of human potential inside an environment of extraordinary technological momentum.
We experiment with agentic technologies to empower brilliant people, remove friction, and create more space for real human work. We don’t follow best practices—we invent next practices.
Backed by Flagship Pioneering and fueled by a mission to transform both the scientific method and the human experience behind it, Lila is where ambitious thinkers come to build something that lasts. Whether developing next-gen therapeutics or materials for a sustainable future, our team brings together curiosity, clarity, and radical collaboration.
We’re early-stage and moving fast. We’re systems-minded and human-centered. And we’re building a company where every person—from scientists to software engineers to operators—feels seen, supported, and energized to do their life’s best work.
As our Human Potential Architect (Learning and Development Lead), you’ll join us as the fourth member of our global Human Resonance team—Lila’s approach to People & Culture. This is a foundational role for someone who thrives on building programs from scratch, thinks like a designer, and can translate vision into systems that scale.
You’ll work closely with the VP of Human Resonance to bring to life the developmental backbone of our Human Outcome Optimization strategy—an ambitious new approach to performance, progression, and growth. You’ll also play a critical role in the launch of our new HRIS, helping to build the skills inventory, mentoring programs, internal mobility design, and more.
This is a M3/M4 individual contributor role—ideal for someone who wants to shape, build, test, and launch programs that will support thousands of people over time.

Builder Mentality
You’re energized by blank slates. You’ve launched programs from scratch, rebuilt broken systems, or turned early ideas into something that lasts.
Learning Design Expertise
You have experience in instructional design, content creation, and live facilitation. You know how to design with adult learning principles in mind, and how to keep people engaged—especially in hybrid environments.
Technical Fluency
You’re comfortable with LMS platforms, HRIS data structures, and digital tools. Experience with skills frameworks, learning libraries, or mentoring software is a plus.
Startup Agility
You’ve worked in early-stage companies or fast-scaling environments. You’re not thrown off by ambiguity—you move through it with clarity and speed.
Collaborative Confidence
You know how to partner with senior leaders while building strong relationships across all levels. You bring people into the process and make them feel heard.
No Formal Requirements
We care most about how you think and what you’ve built. No specific degree or credential is required for this role. We welcome people with unconventional paths.
This is a rare chance to join a company at the start of its hypergrowth chapter and shape how people grow from the ground up. You’ll have both runway and voice, and you’ll be part of building the developmental systems that scale a generation of scientists, engineers, and operators doing truly transformative work.
You won’t be joining a legacy learning team—you’ll be defining what learning looks and feels like at Lila.
