QA Automation Tester - Bilingual Guadalajara

Position Summary: As a Senior Automation QA Tester at Meztal, you will be pivotal in ensuring the quality of our software products by designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts. You will collaborate closely with development and QA teams to identify and resolve defects and performance issues, contribute to test planning, and mentor junior testers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to create and implement comprehensive test plans.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using test management tools.
• Conduct code reviews of automated test scripts to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Execute performance, functional, regression, and integration testing to uncover issues early in the development cycle.
• Monitor and maintain the automated testing environment, including continuous integration pipelines.
• Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable feedback to the development team.
• Mentor and support junior QA team members in their testing efforts.
• Continuously enhance testing processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation.
• Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or Cypress.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab).
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience handling dynamic and asynchronous content (e.g., AJAX), ensuring proper synchronization and validation of dynamically loaded elements.
• Proven ability to optimize and execute large test suites efficiently, including parallel execution strategies using tools like Selenium Grid or TestNG.
• Strong skills in identifying and resolving flaky or intermittent test failures, with hands-on experience in debugging and stabilizing test cases.

• Experience implementing automation design patterns, such as Page Object Model (POM) or Page Factory, with the ability to select the appropriate strategy for maintainable and scalable frameworks.
• Experience in implementing automation tools such as Selenium or similar from initial setup to production.
• Proven ability to integrate testing tools with data warehouses, third-party sources, and other systems.
• Hands-on experience configuring additional services necessary for automation tools to function in production environments.
• Demonstrated responsibility for the full technical implementation of testing tools, beyond just usage.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during the setup and integration of automation tools.
• Familiarity with tools and techniques for advanced scenarios, such as file uploads, using solutions like AutoIT, Robot Class, or JavaScript Executor.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing solutions (e.g., AWS Device Farm, Sauce Labs).
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, RestAssured).
• Experience in mentoring and leading small teams.
