The Senior Business Analyst & Special Projects role will identify critical issues in service delivery and formulate analytical approaches to quantify problems and solutions.  The analytics are applied to build projects and actions to improve, mitigate, or eliminate identified opportunities.  Critical success factors include: the acquisition of relevant data to assess operational problems with fact, leadership in building the story through data that creates the case for change. This role encompasses strong program/project management skills, analytical, critical thinking and curiosity, creativity and problem-solving skills.  

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with the business to solve business problems through data and metrics,

  • Leadership in cross functional problem-solving activities including building presentations to take complex data and make it easy to understand, driving decision making efficiency through thoughtful execution options.

  • Project Management through all phases - ideation through implementation

  • Provide feedback to Operation’s Business Areas, Management, Clients and Customers through written communication, team discussion, and reporting.

  • Identification of key data and acquisition of relevant data to ensure clear picture of the situation and the cause/effect of what the data is telling the business to aid in problem solving, ensuring appropriate data is considered and solution/impact is clear.

  • Formulate structures to build the story through data that gets to actionable items making the case for change.

  • Identify opportunities and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance internal control environment and improve customer experience.

  • Collaborate with the business in ad hoc report development.

  • Support a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Lead/Manage Roadmap Definition and Execution for the Reporting Center of Excellence within TPA Governance.

  • Provide feedback to Operation’s Business Areas, Management, Clients and Customers through written communication, team discussion, and reporting.

  • Identify opportunities and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance internal control environment and improve customer experience.

  • Provides Leadership in cross functional problem-solving activities.

  • Drive exceptional execution and identify Improvements.

What You Will Have:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience·      

  • 5+ years Life Insurance operations and compliance experience required

  • Well versed in MS Project and/or Project Planning SW tools

  • Familiarity with the IT systems development lifecycle'- SDLC

  • Expertise in leveraging excel, PowerBI, Cognos and/or other reporting tools to support data analysis

  • Exceptional skills with Microsoft Office toolset (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Experience in Life and/or Annuity Insurance Operations

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Action oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, adhering to pre-defined timeframes for delivery

  • Solution oriented mindset

  • Knowledge of AI Tools and usage

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and self-directed

  • Action oriented

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.  

Base Salary Range
$75,000$95,000 USD
