Principal AI Engineer

Fraim is rethinking organisational management in the new era of AI. We are looking for a Principle AI Engineer who combines strong backend foundations, with experience deploying production AI solutions. You will be well versed in a variety of LLM topologies, model optimisation, and RAG - and have an ability to deploy end-to-end. You will have an understanding of the practical constraints and mitigations techniques used to deliver robust and reliable solutions in a production environment. Professional experience working as a backend engineer is very important for this role.

As the Principal AI Engineer at Fraim, you will play a central role in architecting and implementing the foundational AI systems that power our innovative work operating system. This high-impact role demands a combination of technical excellence, vision, hands-on leadership, and agility. You’ll help shape Fraim’s AI capabilities, develop scalable and efficient solutions, and, over time, build a world-class AI team to tackle increasingly complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Fraim’s AI architecture, shaping our future capabilities and integrating them into the broader ecosystem.
• Start as a hands-on leader, working directly on tools and frameworks while collaborating with a full-stack development team.
• Develop and execute a phased approach to deploying models and workflows, ensuring scalability and production-readiness.
• Build robust workflows and agentic systems to unlock new capabilities
• Chart the path for scaling the AI team, driving innovation as we take on more complex challenges.
• Make practical decisions to balance today’s needs—features, speed, and cost—with tomorrow’s requirements for scalability and growth.
