Job Description

This Commercial Account Executive role will support the Device42 sales team, a company recently acquired by Freshworks in June 2024. Device42 offers a powerful, real-time view of an organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of all assets. With the integration of Freshservice and Device42, Freshworks now provides a more robust IT solution, featuring enhanced IT Asset Management (ITAM) capabilities. This combined offering allows us to deliver even greater value to our customers, streamlining their IT management and optimizing business performance.

We are looking for a Commercial Account Executive to join our team. This is a high-performance sales team, so the ideal candidate should be good at working against goals and be competitive. You'll be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive territory plan in addition to effectively driving sales and reaching bold revenue targets. This is a remunerative opportunity to penetrate new accounts within a rich territory, as well as nurture others underway. The right candidate possesses a strong sales background and is able to engage at all levels with technical buyers.

What You'll Do: 

  • Communicate the value of Device42 to executives and technical decision-makers to drive the sales process of enterprise deals
  • Lead efforts to expand accounts by leveraging existing relationships and continuously driving business value. Work closely with our partner and distributor network to drive sales globally 
  • Manage the contract and approval process of new deals, including the negotiation of prices and approvals of contract terms
  • Lead efforts to expand accounts by leveraging existing relationships
  • Conduct opportunity review sessions while maintaining timely and accurate updating of Salesforce.com customer information, forecast, and pipeline data

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a sales or sales development role, preferably within ITSM, cloud, or laaS
  • Ability to understand use cases and how to sell across different industries and multiple lines of business
  • Extreme curiosity to learn about the product, the industry, and your customer's businesses
  • Experience with process-driven sales, reporting, and tracking in order to successfully drive new business and expansion opportunities
  • Creative thinker who is excited to put new ideas to the test

Additional Information

Please note this is a hybrid role based in the Boston Metro Area and requires an in-office presence three days per week. 

This role is based in the Boston Metro Area, and the expected base salary range for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for a target bonus.

Compensation Package: $76,000 - $100,000 base salary + variable compensation
