Business Analyst | IT Web Applications

We are eager to meet a Business Analyst who will be part of the Dealer IT team.

We build and support global solutions, web applications and tools that assist Garmin's dealers network. We focus on modern, accurate solutions that drive automation, reducing friction to support Garmin's vision to be the leader in all markets we serve. Our B2B portal is the hub of all dealer activity from sales opportunities to accessing documentation and even getting after-sales support. We develop many of our internal and customer facing web applications and also use vendor products to support some of our services.
Our team objective is to provide solutions so that our partners "Want to do business with Garmin".

We believe that collaboration leads to the best ideas, and we rely heavily on team interaction. As a hybrid role based in Cluj-Napoca, this position will require at least 3 days in the office each week.

Responsibilities

  • Gathers and documents detailed requirements for business needs and able to determine moderately complex solution design with input from others.
  • Story creation and story writing based on requirements.
  • Leads conversation with business stakeholders and users on needs and goals.
  • Determines more complex functional designs.
  • Identifies interdependencies in applications and teams supporting those applications.
  • Helps with backlog grooming, story scrubbing, and planning with PM and/or dev team.
  • Supports developers on most questions about solution requirements and functional design.
  • Performs moderately complex troubleshooting.
  • Supports internal Dealer admin team.
  • Organize demos and handles testing session with QA and the business.
  • Manual testing and validation of requirements.
  • Identifies more advanced test scenarios and adequately test customizations and configurations (with or without QA).
  • Helps on releases coordination and production concern.

  • Must demonstrate advanced understanding of business analysis principles/methodologies and possesses a demonstrated ability to adapt practices to meet business climate and needs.
  • Consistent demonstration of quality and effectiveness in work documentation and organization.
  • Demonstrates proficiency of researching, understanding industry standards and tools, etc.
  • Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a large team or departmental setting.
  • Experience in successful implementation of technology solutions.
  • Demonstrate a professional approach to situations in which conflict is present.
  • Bachelor in Computer Science, or another relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience and/or training.
  • Experience with JIRA.
  • Solidly understands software design and UX.
  • Experience with web based projects.
  • International communications experience.
