The role
Working with the Head of Sales, SEA and the Global Commercial Director, this SDR role is a key member of the Asia sales team who is responsible for identifying prospects, contacting them and setting meetings for the New Business team to carry forward.
What you will do
• Identify and research prospects/leads within new accounts
• Respond to inbound requests and execute a high volume of outbound calls and emails per day
• Manage and maintain a pipeline of target prospects as you gather information and vet interest
• Follow up and move leads forward in the process; engage with sales teams to ensure timely handoff of leads for ongoing opportunity management
• Learn and execute proven processes to generate and manage your efforts
• Leverage the CRM and be diligent about creating/managing all data and activities
• Work with sales management to develop target lists, call strategies, and messaging
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on outbound campaigns and contact strategies
• Collect and share feedback on lead quality to support demand generation
• Learn from your team members and help the team continuously improve
• Experience in high-volume outbound sales, ideally in tech/SaaS environments targeting SMBs across the APAC region
• Strong command of outbound playbooks, with a rule-based approach to outreach
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Salesforce, Gong, Sales Navigator, and similar sales engagement platforms
• Data-driven, highly structured in prospecting, and comfortable managing multiple outbound campaigns concurrently
• Strong existing network and past client relationships in Southeast Asia
• Customer oriented with a high level of professionalism
• Responsive, friendly, and thoughtful in your communications; effective in communicating ideas and information, both written and verbal
• Self-starting personality, you drive your own pace and have an intrinsic motivation to be the best whilst enjoying full accountability for your success
• Commercial, winning, collaborative and entrepreneurial attitude to achieve big results for yourself and Loqate
• Possessing a natural curiosity, you want to become an expert in this industry and to get to know your market inside out
• You prefer working in a fast – paced start-up environment over working for large corporates because of its dynamic, can-do mentality and you are able to move fast
• A commanding desire to learn and succeed in tech sales
• Responsive, friendly, and thoughtful in your communications; effective in communicating ideas and information, both written and verbal
• Coachable—you don’t just go through the motions and do what we say. You’re self-aware. You reflect, listen to others’ feedback, give yourself feedback, and make changes
• Ability to learn new concepts and software programs quickly, retain large amounts of information, and adapt to a changing work environment
• You are comfortable on the phone and don’t shy away from the phone or favor only electronic means of communication
