Givens Communities is looking for a full time Human Resources Assistant. Reporting to the HR Director, the primary purpose of this position is to assist the Human Resources Department with administrative and system support. This will be a fully on site role with the schedule being Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm. Minimal travel is required, as this position will spend the majority of its time at our Black Mountain campus, Givens Highland Farms, and sharing time at our Asheville campus, Givens Estates, as well.

What you'll do:

• Scan, name, and maintain team member files in accordance with company and legal guidelines
• Assist with the management of HRIS system
• Assist HR team with pre-employment and post-offer screenings
• Assist the Human Resources team with the pre-employment, post-offer screenings for new team members 
• Assist with coordinating onboarding experience through the HRIS system and scheduling orientation for designated campuses
• Assist in departmental audits
• Assist Talent Acquisition team with new hire references and candidate communication
• Provide support to the Training and Development Coordinator with trainings and managing the LMS system
• Serve as key HR contact for general team member HR inquiries
• Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor

What you'll need:

• High School or GED equivalent is required
• As a minimum, one or two years' previous experience in an office setting
• Desire to learn and grow in the HR function

Compensation is $21-$23 per hour, based on experience, and includes our comprehensive benefits package!
