Dynamic, fast paced Investment Firm is currently recruiting for an experienced National Residential Transaction Paralegal for their rapidly expanding Real Estate Investment division. If you have at least 2 years experience within the Title Industry in this (or similar) role, we'd like to hear from you. Notary required. Excellent pay and full benefits. This is a full‐time position and the days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, with the ability to work from home Mondays and Fridays. Duties will include coordinating execution of documents, coordinating KYC and due diligence searches, drafting and compiling documents for transaction closings, and working on special projects. You will also be responsible for tracking critical dates and deadlines and managing highly confidential and sensitive documents. The role is analogous to a legal assistant position, but there is significant growth potential for a proven candidate who is detail-oriented, motivated, and a self-starter and who demonstrates the ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to anticipate the needs of the members of the Legal and Compliance and investment team and exercise judgment to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in his or her prior endeavors, superb organizational skills, an entrepreneurial, self-driven nature, a low ego, team-oriented style, and unimpeachable integrity and values.
Essential Functions
· Proactively support the Legal and Compliance team as well as the Investment team with transaction closings
· Assist in the execution and tracking of various legal agreements
· Support Asset Management function in the review and execution of project entitlements.
· Manage large volume of highly sensitive and confidential physical and electronic documents and files
· Assist with the formation of legal entities and maintenance of fund level subsidiaries
· Draft and coordinate execution of board resolutions and corporate consents
· Track and process invoices, ensuring invoices go through proper internal approval procedures
Preferred Education and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school
· Two + years of related administrative experience within legal and/or asset management.
· Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work independently as well as within a team, prioritize and complete multiple tasks with time constraints in a fast‐paced environment
· Available to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as needed
· Strong work ethic and proactive, positive attitude with enthusiasm for expanding knowledge
· Notary Public (or willingness to become a Notary Public) is required
