Physical Therapist Assistant

Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Lee’s Summit, MO

We are looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient office in Lee’s Summit, MO. In this role, you will work closely with Physical Therapists to provide hands-on therapy and guide patients through personalized rehabilitation programs designed to restore mobility and enhance daily function.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Or (4) 10-hour shifts: Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday (No weekends)
• No weekends

Compensation:

• $60,000 – $70,000 per year with benefits

Patient Volume:

• 1-2 patients an hour

Responsibilities:

• Implement treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists, guiding patients through exercises and therapeutic activities to enhance mobility and function.
• Provide hands-on manual therapy and functional rehabilitation exercises.
• Observe and document patient progress, reporting findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring compliance with billing and regulatory requirements.
• Set up and maintain treatment areas and equipment to ensure a safe, organized environment.
• Assist with clinic operations, including scheduling, patient intake, and basic administrative tasks.
• Assess patients’ balance, coordination, and proprioception abilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution.
• Current Missouri licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient or similar setting.
• Proficiency with EMR software (e.g., WebPT).
• Skilled in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation exercises under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Strong communication skills to educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and recovery strategies.
