Gowan Milling is looking for an Intern (Engineering) at the Yuma facility. This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager.  


Role Responsibilities: 
  • Assist engineers in designing, developing, troubleshooting, and testing processes 
  • Conduct research and gather data to support engineering projects 
  • Create and update engineering documents, drawings, and spreadsheets 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and safety departments. 
  • Perform other engineering-related tasks as assigned 


Education:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil) or a related field 


 Experience / Skills / Abilities:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, etc.) or related field 
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and concepts 
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively 


 Job Expectations / Working Conditions:
  • Possess a valid driver’s license. 
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. 
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs in buildings.  
  • Requires ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. unassisted. 
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching, squatting, pulling, and pushing. 
  • Ability to work outdoors throughout the year in extreme temperatures.
