The basics of a Quality Assurance Specialist:

  • 100% onsite at HQ
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Hybrid position 
  • In- office expectations: 2 days 

What you'll do as a Quality Assurance Specialist:

In this role you will create a top tier experience for members obtaining a consumer loan, by processing and performing quality control on loan documentation to expedite the lending process. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process consumer loan documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines. 
  • Provide information, answer questions, and deliver top-tier service to internal staff, members, and vendors through all delivery channels.
  • Manage assigned loan queue in an efficient and timely manner, meeting department Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure that liens are perfected and released on all collateralized loans.
  • Assist Loan Officers in obtaining member info and entering data into the loan system.
  • Assist with title work, incomplete files, and paid loans.
  • Obtain Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) certification.
  • Comply with the credit union Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Policy and Anti Money Laundering and Member Due Diligence Procedures.  The BSA training is to be completed within 90 days of employment and annually thereafter.
  • Complete compliance and career development training as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must haves for a Quality Assurance Specialist:

  • Skills Include: Data entry. Written and verbal communication skills. Teamwork.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in Customer Service or Document Management.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) certification for roles within Real Estate Lending within 3 months of hire. 

Nice to haves for a Quality Assurance Specialist:

  • Credit Union or Banking experience
  • Real Estate and/or Home Equity experience
  • Knowledgeable in DNA and/or Meridian software
  • Bilingual in Spanish & English.
