About Green Project: Green Project is a SaaS-based carbon accounting and ESG management platform. Under increasing pressure from regulators, investors, customers and employees, businesses—especially small and medium businesses—are struggling to calculate and report on their GHG emissions. 

Using Green Project’s platform, businesses of any size can begin tracking and monitoring their footprints. Ultimately, our platform provides the tools our customers need to begin tracking and reducing their corporate carbon footprint in compliance with the GHG Protocol. 

Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Solutions Engineer to support our strategic client engagements and drive net-new sales. This role will focus on pre-sales funnel conversion, assisting with account-specific technical product demonstrations, trial implementations, and business value assessments for strategic prospects while developing general collateral to strengthen go-to-market functions (sales, marketing, partnerships). The ideal candidate is a problem solver with strong communication skills who can translate complex technical concepts into tangible business value.   

Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with the sales team to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales process  
  • Conduct in-depth product demonstrations and proof-of-concept presentations tailored to client needs  
  • Manage and support trial implementations, ensuring successful onboarding experiences for potential customers  
  • Develop and deliver Business Value Assessments that quantify the benefits of Green Project Technologies' solutions  
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, addressing product-related questions and preparing client-specific sales collateral where needed  
  • Assist in the creation of sales, marketing and partnership materials, including pitch decks, articles, case studies, blog posts, and FAQs  
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and enhance product offerings  
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, sustainability regulations, and competitive landscapes to provide informed insights to clients 

Requirements: 

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in an Account Executive, Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar technical pre-sales role  
  • Strong understanding of SaaS solutions, data analytics, and API integrations  
  • Experience in carbon accounting, sustainability, or ESG-related technology  
  • Exceptional presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics  
  • Strong PowerPoint skills  
  • Data visualization skills a plus, but not required  
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively across teams  
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or similar) preferred

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000. Actual base pay may vary based on various factors such as location, job-related knowledge, skills, level and experience. The base pay is just one component of the total competitive compensation package for employees.

Remote Work 

Green Project embraces remote work, with a team of talented individuals based across the US in Colorado, East Coast states, and several other countries. All US applicants must be based in Colorado or East Coast states. Our largest presence is in NYC, where employees are invited to join occasional in-person working days. However, attendance is never required.
