Sales & Operations Planning Analyst

We are looking for an S&OP Analyst to join our North Sydney-based Supply Chain team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, this role plays a critical part in forecasting, procurement, and distribution across our business.

About the role

As an S&OP Analyst, you will support all aspects of forecasting, procurement, and distribution, working closely with Marketing, Sales, and Finance to drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. You will be responsible for maintaining analytical models, generating reports, and continuously improving our supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain forecasting, purchasing, and distribution models, incorporating business intelligence from internal and external sources.
  • Serve as the integration point between Marketing, Sales, and Finance within the S&OP process.
  • Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and costs to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Maintain and update databases and systems to ensure accurate demand and inventory data.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, trends, and impacts of forecast adjustments.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, and Finance to align forecasts with promotional plans and market conditions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, refining workflows to enhance efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to drive supply chain improvements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for demand-related inquiries and issues.

 About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a demand planning or analytical role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Experience working with ERP and order management applications.
  • Knowledge of S&OP principles and best practices.
  • Exposure to demand planning tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or Commerce (Bachelor’s degree desirable).
