 Position Summary


Location: Hybrid (Greater Portland, OR Area)

Duration: 10 Weeks (June 9 – August 15, 2025)

Hours: Full-time, 30-40 hours per week

Pay: $18/hour

Our eCommerce team is dedicated to optimizing site content, improving customer experience, and driving business growth through data-driven decision-making. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in eCommerce operations and site optimization while working cross-functionally with multiple teams.


As a Site Operations and Optimization Intern, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Hanna Andersson’s eCommerce platform. You’ll gain exposure to site content management, product merchandising, competitive analysis, and optimization strategies to improve customer experience and conversion rates. This internship is ideal for someone with a passion for eCommerce, strong analytical skills, and an interest in digital merchandising.


What You’ll Do:
  • Site Performance & Competitive Analysis
  • Conduct bi-weekly competitor research, track industry trends, and perform weekly and ad-hoc site performance analyses.
  • Ensure site accuracy by performing quality assurance (QA) checks across product pages, filters, badges, and search results.
  • Work with the Site Team to resolve issues and improve user experience.
  • Deliverable: A bi-weekly competitor analysis report and weekly updates on findings, including recommendations for site improvements. regular analysis, there will be a overarching analysis project that looks specifically at competitive mobile analysis. This deep dive is aligned with the department’s goals and your insights will inform real life recommendations and test ideas that will help the Site impact our 2025 mobile conversion goals.
  • Business Impact: Helps Hanna Andersson identify trends and best practices for improving the online shopping experience.

  •   Content & Merchandising Optimization
  • Support seasonal site updates by assisting with PDP and PLP QA, ensuring product details, images, and merchandising strategies align with business objectives.
  • Maintain and update creative briefs in Figma for on-site marketing content.
  • Deliverable: Completed QA for product launches and weekly updates to Figma briefs for marketing assets. Brainstorm and suggest ideas for on-site content that aligns with marketing and branding objectives.
  • Business Impact: Ensures best-in-class product presentation, strengthens brand storytelling, and enhances customer engagement through optimized content.

  • Reporting & Analysis
  • Contribute to weekly and ad-hoc site performance reports, updating key documents and assisting in business review presentations.
  •  Deliverable: Weekly updates to the Site Team's performance tracking documents and input into business review slides.
  • Business Impact: Provides data-driven insights to support eCommerce strategy and improve site performance.

  • Reporting & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Contribute to weekly eCommerce performance reports, updating key documents and assisting in business review presentations.
  • Assist the Site Team with daily operational tasks and provide insights for site optimization strategies.
  • Deliverable: Weekly business performance updates, site improvement recommendations, and execution of assigned daily tasks. A chance to impact business performance by reporting insights with suggestions for realistic on-site updates to help drive daily conversion.
  • Business Impact: Supports data-driven decision-making, improves conversion rates, and ensures site operations run smoothly.



What You’ll Gain:

  • Portfolio-worthy work, including competitive research decks, reporting insights, and optimization strategies.


Who You Are:
  • A self-starter with natural curiosity and enthusiasm for eCommerce.
  • Someone who is not afraid to share ideas and be vocal in discussions.
  • Comfortable with a wide range of audiences and cross-functional collaboration.
  • A strong problem solver who can pivot between tasks as needed.


What You Bring:
  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Product UX/UI Design experience
  • Experience: 0-1 years (internship, coursework, or volunteer work in related fields is a plus).
  • Software Skills:
  • Excel/Word/Outlook
  • Project Management Tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com)
  • Figma (bonus)
  • Competencies:
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
  • Interest in eCommerce and digital merchandising
  • Comfort with digital tools and learning new systems
  • Excellent communication and grammar skills

  • Eligibility & Application Details:
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be based in the Greater Portland area (hybrid in-office requirement).


$18 - $18 an hour
