Job Summary

 

The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and oversite of quality, compliance, software and facility projects at our NJ drug manufacturing location. Additional responsibilities include the planning of project resources, assembling project teams, time management, budget management, scope maintenance, risk mitigation, ensuring progress, and utilizing a project management reporting system.

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement key projects, define scope, timeline, goals, deliverables, tasks and required resources.
  • In concert with the project team, the Project Manager will develop and manage the cross- functional integrated project plans, ensuring milestones and goals are met in a timely manner.
  • Stay within budget, allocate project resources, create schedule, and manage project timeline, track deliverables and report on project progress,
  • Develop project plan/schedules across multiple workstreams. Plan project activities and timelines and share with stakeholders, set up tracking tools for assigned tasks and assess progress as per pre-set timelines.
  • Drive decision making by the team. Identify and ensure resolution to any conflicts
  • Identify and manage contractors and vendors for timely cost effective completion of projects
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to set project expectations, define roles and responsibilities, and ensure timely escalation of issues that could lead to project delays.
  • Follow-up on action Items between team meetings and ensure accountability of team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical technical project management experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Business Management; Master's in Business Management preferred. (PMI Certification recommended).
  • Experience In JIRA /Atlassian and/or Confluence is preferred
  • Influential leadership abilities towards cross functional teams and various levels of professionals

OFFICE DEMANDS: 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

While performing the position's responsibilities, the employee must talk and hear. Some filing is required, requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.

SALES/TRAVEL DEMANDS: 

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and drive. The employee is also required to travel via airplane, which involves sitting in an airplane for extended periods of time, lifting luggage or personal items, and being comfortable with flying. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, or balance. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.   

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving vehicles, traffic, pedestrians, and the typical environment one experiences while driving and traveling.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate and is dependent on where the employee is conducting work, which will vary.  

SOME OPERATIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The ability to see distinctions in colors and shapes is also needed. This position is moderately active and requires standing and walking for the duration of the shift. There is a high frequency of reaching over your head and bending down throughout each shift.
