Marketing and Business Development Manager

We are seeking a talented Marketing and Business Development Manager to lead marketing, communications, business development efforts. The position involves working closely with the senior management team to develop and implement strategies that increase brand awareness, drive sales, engage audiences, expand reach, foster partnerships, and generate revenue. You will also manage a team of marketing and business development professionals and collaborate with external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications plans to support the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Identify target audiences and create strategies to drive traffic and engage them effectively.
  • Manage all marketing initiatives, including social media and website content, ensuring all material is on-brand and engaging.
  • Collaborate with external partners, agencies, and suppliers to implement marketing campaigns.
  • Experiment with various marketing channels like content creation, paid campaigns, event management, and social media.
  • Oversee event planning and execution, including managing branding, ticketing, and logistics.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts, using data to inform future strategies.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and monitor the marketing budget, allocating funds wisely.
  • Drive business strategies that maintain and grow sponsorships.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new corporate support.
  • Negotiate strategic projects with companies to create unbudgeted opportunities.
  • Prepare tailored proposals and sponsorship packages.
  • Liaise with clients to deliver and service the program of benefits according to the terms defined in contracts.
  • Ensure efficient data management and reporting for sponsorship and marketing efforts.
  • Manage and mentor a team of marketing, communications, and business development professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in marketing, communications, and business development, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write compelling copy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Extensive experience in marketing and business development functions.
  • Analytical skills to gather and interpret market data.
  • Experience in event planning and project management.
  • Financial acumen to develop and manage budgets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
