Highbar is hiring a Communications Specialist!
The Communications Specialist will play a key role in enhancing internalcommunication efforts at Highbar Physical Therapy. Reporting to the Vice President of People, this position will ensure clear and consistent messaging across all communication channels, reflecting Highbar’s culture and strategic goals. The Communications Specialist will collaborate with various teams to create and distribute weekly memos, monthly newsletters, and other internal communications. Additionally, this role will support external initiatives such as website updates, content creation, and event planning, contributing to Highbar's mission and vision through effective storytelling and engagement.
What You'll Do:- Internal Communications Support: Lead in the creation and distribution of the monthly employee newsletter, ensuring content is relevant, timely, and engaging for all staff, the creation and distribution of weekly leadership memos to keep managers informed about company updates, goals, and initiatives, and maintain internal SharePoint pages, ensuring information is easily accessible, organized and aligned with company branding and messaging.
- External Communications Support: Support website updates, including clinician biographies, to ensure content is current, engaging, and aligned with Highbar’s branding and strategic goals. Assist with external messaging as needed, particularly related to company events, community outreach, and public relations efforts.
- Metrics Analysis: Track and analyze communication campaign performance using data to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement and provide actionable insights to refine communication strategies and enhance engagement.
- Brand Management: Ensure all messaging aligns with Highbar’sTailfeather initiatives and Belief-Behavior-Outcome (BBO): Care Deeply, Grow Forward, Lead the Way, and Create Joy. Act as a steward of Highbar’s mission and vision, maintaining alignment in all internal and external communications.
- Program and Event Support: Plan and manage Highbar initiatives such as September of Move and Care to Wear, including creating communication strategies, promotional materials, and engagement efforts. Lead communication efforts for company events, ensuring clear messaging and alignment with organizational goals throughout the event lifecycle.
- Project Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive communication calendar to stay organized and ensure timely execution of deliverables.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in communications or a similar role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear and engaging content.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate and consistent messaging.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint experience a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams across the organization.
- Problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Event planning experience a plus.
