We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Representative with a strong background in transportation and logistics. This role focuses on outbound outreach and customer development, targeting shippers across various industries and regions. The ideal candidate is proactive, goal-driven, and comfortable managing their own sales pipeline from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cold outreach via phone and email to engage shippers and secure freight opportunities
- Promote a variety of freight services including: dry van, open deck, drayage, drop deck, expedited freight, truckload, and temperature-controlled solutions
- Promote supply chain and logistics services such as managed services and reverse logistics
- Target customers across diverse industries: aerospace, cannabis, consumer packaged goods, food & beverage, hazmat, perishables, and retail logistics
- Focus outreach by region: Midwest, Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest
- Track and report KPIs such as load counts, revenue margins, and ongoing account growth
- Manage client relationships beyond the initial sale to ensure long-term success
- Experience in transportation and logistics is a must have
- Customer-facing industry experience with proven relationship-building skills
- Ability to independently source leads, manage cold outreach (calls and emails), and follow up consistently
- Proficient in tools such as Revenova, DAT, Highway, Carrier411, Slack, DialPad, and Font
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to hit performance goals
- Must be capable of generating at least $20,000 in monthly gross profit
- Being able to bring an existing book of business or industry relationships is a plus
