Life & Retirement Advocate I

 

Horace Mann is a purpose-driven company that is passionate about educators.Life & Retirement Advocate I will perform Life and Retirement Core and Auxiliary transactions and work as a part of a flexible work group to maximize workflow efficiencies and production.  This is a hybrid position, must live around the Springfield, IL area. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support multiple daily functions via – CK4, EXL-LifePro, Resonant, Mainframe, SAW, VIP Doc View, VIP Work Queue, Web Transactions, Page center reporting, Microsoft Office, Hyland Onbase, workstation.
  • Perform and execute 20% of Core business functions and Auxiliary business functions as assigned while maintaining high quality.
  • Effectively and consistently communicate with the field sales team and clients with professional and concise delivery.
  • Learn and understand functions of administrative systems, document repositories, workflows, and web-based applications associated with Life and retirement Operations.
  • Multitask, collaborate with peers, and execute on highest priorities to be compliant with FINRA, Sec, Department of Insurance regulations and operational service level agreements.
  • Actively participate in collaborative work efforts, training, and provide suggestions regarding opportunities for process improvements.
  • Learn and demonstrate basic life and retirement product and industry knowledge.
  • Understand and adhere to basic compliance, tax regulations, Department of insurance and filed rules.
  • Provide updates as required on assigned work to ensure transparency of service-level expectations.

Requirements:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/finance-oriented field or comparable experience in business related field, preferred.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with internal business partners, agents/field staff, and clients in both written and verbal communications.
  • Understand and adhere to FINRA, SCE, IRS, State Department of Insurance, and internal SOP guidelines.

Pay Range:

  • $16.00 - $25.00 per hour.

Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
