We are currently seeking a skilled YouTube Producer to oversee all aspects of video content production, from planning to delivery, tailored for YouTube. This role involves working directly with the Creator of the channel to produce educational and engaging content, aligning with the Creator's vision, and optimizing for audience engagement. Responsibilities include managing production workflows, technical operations, and stakeholder coordination. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with technical expertise and a passion for impactful YouTube content.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Production Management:
• Plan, oversee, and execute content production for long-form videos, Shorts, and sponsored projects.
• Create and manage multiple project timelines simultaneously, ensuring alignment with Creator’s vision and deadlines.
• Direct in-studio, on-location, and remote production sessions, including technical setup and troubleshooting.
• Manage scheduling and communications with stakeholders such as Creator, sponsors, consultants, and team members.
• Collaborate on content calendars and maintain alignment with sponsorship requirements.
Content Creation and Execution:
• Enhance video scripts with visuals (B-roll, animation, motion design) for optimal YouTube engagement.
• Capture high-quality video and voiceover content, including primary footage, B-roll, and remote sessions.
• Ensure compliance with YouTube best practices, branding standards, and sponsorship guidelines.
Post-Production Oversight:
• Supervise freelance editors and outsourced editing services.
• Create and enforce editing guidelines and workflows.
• Review and provide feedback on edits at various stages to ensure quality and brand consistency.
• Coordinate with post-production teams for deliverables such as motion graphics, sponsorship, and video assets.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with proficiency in tools like Asana and Slack.
• Good understanding of video editing principles and workflows, enabling them to provide clear, actionable feedback to editors.
• Familiarity with editing software, pacing, and visual/audio continuity, though hands-on editing may not be a core responsibility.
• Ability to infuse humor and creativity into educational content.
• Experience managing remote teams and coordinating cross-functional workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills, especially in real-time production environments.
• Knowledge of ADHD-friendly workflows and storytelling strategies is a plus.
Tools and Technology:
• Expertise in camera operation, sound recording, lighting setup, and teleprompter use.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other editing tools.
• Familiarity with remote capture platforms (e.g., Riverside.fm, Zoom) and video review tools (e.g., Frame.io).
• Skilled using Asana for project management and Slack for team communication.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• This is a hybrid position, but the candidate must live in or within driving distance of the Seattle Washington area.
