The Manager/Senior Manager of Quality Assurance (MQA) within Copperleaf will have deep knowledge on industry standard quality assurance processes and methodologies and work with all aspects of quality assurance throughout the entire software development process. They are responsible for ensuring that quality is considered early in the design process so that the product will be testable later.
The MQA is primarily responsible for leading a team of QA Engineers who are responsible for managing the quality on their 1-8-1 teams. The MQA plays a key role within the team, working alongside Program Management and Software Engineering Leaders to ensure that all aspects of testing, support, and test coverage are included in the testing plans, as well as design and implementation are completed as per the IFS Development Process.
The MQA in Copperleaf will have experience working with the Copperleaf software and automated deployment pipelines, experience with Azure, in particular, is a distinct advantage as well as overseeing automated testing and execution.
The MQA should also foster good proactive relationships with stakeholders across IFS, including but not limited to colleagues in support. Quality Assurance Leaders will look to minimize the amount of R&D time their teams spend supporting the product and minimize escalations by delivering high-quality, well-documented software with a “right first time” approach and attitude. There should be regular engagement with the Software Engineering Leaders to provide feedback on areas of concern and take affirmative action to address problems as they arise.
