As a Tech Writer Developer, you will offer your experience with desktop publishing, editing, automated work processing, and other digital information technology experience in support of a larger program. You will bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technical and procedural at the team and portfolio levels. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team will be key to the overall success.

• Five (5+) years of demonstrated technical writing experience
• Expert in Microsoft Word, including template design · Experience with layout and design. Awareness of Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe FrameMaker or InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop is preferred
• Knowledge of document and repository management practices, including using SharePoint, Confluence, or similar tools · Strong attention to detail and collaboration skills
• Ability to interface with various disciplines and personalities, as well as work independently · Strong contextual understanding of technical terminology
• Translating and tailoring technical documentation for a general audience
• Creating and applying consistent technical writing standards across multiple teams and products
• Experience with desktop publishing, automated work processing, and other digital information technology applications, particularly electronic publishing
• Experience relating to engineering and architecture drawings and/or operational procedures to include the knowledge and ability to interpret, absorb, and synthesize large quantities of computer system and application-related information
• Understanding of all elements of the software engineering life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, change management, quality assurance, and release management
• Experience editing technical documentation in an Agile Scrum environment
• Excellent written and oral communications skills; must be able to interface effectively with SMEs and managers of all levels
• Experience with desktop publishing, automated work processing, and other digital information technology applications, particularly electronic publishing
• Experience relating to engineering and architecture drawings and/or operational procedures to include the knowledge and ability to interpret, absorb, and synthesize large quantities of computer system and application-related information
• Understanding of all elements of the software engineering life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, change management, quality assurance, and release management
• Experience editing technical documentation in an Agile Scrum environment
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to pass and maintain a CBP Background Investigation

In this role you will:

• Manage technical project documentation, reports, brochures, manuals, and training material documentation for a wide range of uses
• Oversee the development of Iterative updates to product user manuals, including graphics, formatting, editing, and the deployment of all material to production
• Conform to all project standards to ensure high quality documentation
• Manage project team documentation repository to ensure effective file management
• Ensure completion of all committed documentation tasks in parallel with software code development with frequent refactoring and tuning of artifacts
• Develop new and refine existing technical writing processes to enhance quality and productivity
