As the Impact Systems Analyst (Business Analyst) you will use your analytical skillset, conceptual thinking and eye for detail to contribute to the development of consistent and comparable Social Return on Investment (SROI) metrics for ImpactLab's customers. This involves translating the technical requirements of ImpactLab's standardised methodology and knowledge base to various internal stakeholders, supporting both the delivery and product pod to apply it accurately in the Impact Portal (ImpactLab's proprietary tech), while contributing to it's enhancement over time to best support decision makers. This role sits within the Product and Analytics Squad and reports to the Product & Analytics Lead

Key Responsibilities:
- Impact Library development and maintenance: Work with the Product & Analytics Lead to develop, update, and maintain high-quality impact measures to continuously evolve ImpactLab’s library of GoodMeasure outcomes
- Quality Assurance: Collaborating with Analysts and Developers to consistently and accurately apply ImpactLab’s standardised SROI methodology to specific projects in the Impact Portal to efficiently produce high quality and explainable metrics.
- Data Analytics: Ensure accuracy of data inputs and conduct additional data analysis to SROI models in the Impact Portal, including operational and financial data from for-purpose organisations and ImpactLab’s proprietary data libraries, rigorously documenting decisions and their rationale.
- Product development: Contribute to the process of identifying improvements to ImpactLab's SROI methodology, prioritising and implementing these, and assist in organising and updating information and rules sets.
- Enterprise Architecture: Supporting the current and future state documentation of processes, systems, and business rules to enable regular version updating, contributing to internal knowledge sharing and supporting ongoing team learning.
- Business Analytics: Contribute to the development of internal business performance measures, analytics and data visualisations.
- Impact Portal feature support: Collaborate with the Product Squad to design, build, and refine product features, emphasising accuracy, consistency and ease of use.
- Strategic product input: Provide insights and contribute to product roadmaps, proactively offering feedback on the implementation of ImpactLab’s strategic goals and product vision.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., accounting, engineering, data analytics), and ideally 2+ years of experience performing business analytics or knowledge management.
- Analytical Expertise: Good understanding of statistics, economics, finance, and operational data, with strong analytical capabilities using Excel and other tools for analysis, reporting and documentation.
- Technical Empathy: Ability to think in both words and numbers, using frontline operational data, academic evidence and government data for decision-making within a standardised SROI methodology.
- Conceptual Problem Solving: Ability to resolve complex questions with high levels of uncertainty under time pressure.
- Knowledge Management: Ability to elicit, structure and synthesis disparate information and understand dependencies across business rules within a standardised SROI methodology.
- Communication: Capable of working effectively in cross-functional teams with the ability to communicate complex technical information with clarity, simplicity and conciseness.
- Systems Mapping: Experience mapping and interpreting standardised processes, rules and business logic and consistently applying them to real world scenarios.
- Adaptability & Curiosity: Comfortable navigating ambiguity with a deep sense of curiosity and a proactive & collaborative approach to problem-solving.
