Are you an HR Operations Analyst eager to contribute meaningful work and positively impact the lives of our employees and customers? We have an opportunity for you!  If you have a background in Human Resources, strong analytics capabilities, and get excited about big challenges, our HR Operations Analyst might be just the thing for you.  In this role, you will help design, operationalize, optimize, and support our company’s HR processes, systems, and data reporting to ensure operational excellence and positive employee experience. You’ll play a key role in identifying process improvements, maintaining data integrity, and delivering actionable insights through HR metrics and analytics.

 

This role will have exposure to all facets of HR and is suited to a self-starter with a desire to learn and an interest in building a career in HR. This includes supporting HR processes like onboarding, offboarding, and ensuring data accuracy in HR systems.   This position is based in our West Lafayette office and reports to the HR Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day HR operations across various functional areas including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and HRIS data management
  • Analyze HR data and produce regular and ad-hoc reports to support strategic decision-making
  • Maintain data integrity across HR systems by performing audits and resolving discrepancies
  • Assist with the implementation and optimization of HR systems
  • Create and document standard operating procedures and process workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Payroll, IT, Finance) to ensure alignment and accuracy of HR data
  • Address both internal and external human resources-related inquiries and requests professionally
  • Monitor compliance with labor laws and internal policies
  • Provide coordination for global employee engagement initiatives and lead the site organization in the local office.
  • Participate in the HR team by contributing to cross-functional projects, including HRIS/operations, engagement, recruiting/onboarding, and compensation/benefits
  • Assist with HR procedures and policy creation and execution
  • Manage all US employment-based immigration matters by serving as the primary liaison between sponsored employees and the company’s external immigration counsel; ensure timely communication, documentation accuracy, and compliance with all immigration-related processes and deadlines.
  • Own and evolve the company-wide employee recognition program, collaborating closely with HR Business Partners to assess current practices, develop and propose enhancements, implement changes, and drive engagement and consistency across the organization.
  • Lead and oversee the company’s internship program, including coordinating with hiring managers, providing ongoing support to interns, and ensuring a high-quality intern experience aligned with organizational goals

 

You bring...

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience
  • Strong Excel and data reporting skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Discretion and integrity when handling sensitive employee information
  • Effective administration skills and a general understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Proactive attitude with desire to learn and grow in the field of HR.
  • An ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally within the HR team and other departments across the company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Bonus Qualifications...

  • Proficiency with Workday HCM and Visier analytics is a strong plus.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, start-up organization
  • Experience with a biotechnology or life sciences firm
  • Experience with HRIS systems
  • Prior exposure to payroll concepts and procedures
