Job Description
Job Title: Financial Analyst
Base Salary: $115,000 to $130,000 USD, based on years of experience and skillset
Location: West Coast, United States
Work model: Remote
Travel Requirements: 20% within the United States
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst is under the direct supervision of the Controller, and performs all tasks related to Financial Planning and Analysis of corporate operations, contracts and projects. As Financial Analyst, this position will be a key member of our finance team and will be responsible for planning and directing the company’s financial reporting systems.

Essential Job Functions:
Planning, development, and implementation of effective Finance strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrates the IP Mission, Vision and Care Commitments in behaviors, practice, and decisions.
- Participate in the annual planning process and long-term business planning.
Establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with personnel, departments and management.
- Supports a culture that fosters teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration throughout the organization.
- Support the financial department in developing short- and long-term financial goals and forecasts.
Preparation, maintenance, and reporting of internal and external financial records and analyses.
- Financial Modeling: Building, maintaining, and improving financial models to forecast, measure, and plan the business
- Data Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth
- Business Performance Reporting: Providing ad-hoc business performance reporting. Organize data into accessible reports and perform various types of analysis using key metrics such as yearly growth, return on assets, and return on equity.
- Report Preparation: Prepare reports and projections based on analysis, scenario development, development of financial models, and related work.
- Review and Assess: Review and evaluate financial planning and analysis functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control and project control for Indigenous Pact and its subsidiaries. Includes: financial planning,
- Forecasting: Developing and improving financial projections and operating forecasts. Oversee forecasting, scenario development, development of financial models, and related work.
- Development of Excel-based workbooks, worksheets, models, or other tools requested for the company related to projects, planning, or internal operations.
- Budgeting: Managing budgets, including annual budgeting and capital expenditure planning
- Strategic Financial Insights: Providing strategic financial insights to support the organization's growth and profitability. Provide financial support services as needed by the company. Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Business Partnership: Supporting senior financial analysts and managers regarding business strategy. Administrative and internal support services as needed by the company
- Project Management: Running small projects to improve the company's efficiency
- Scenario development: Participating in scenario development
- Practical Advice: Offering practical advice to leadership
- Communication: Presenting financial data and strategies to senior management and board members
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, meetings, and workshops.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive increase in responsibility in processing of financial and accounting data as well as performing analysis and journal entries into the General Ledger.
- A strong record as an effective, team-oriented employee.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to interact with all levels of staff and to explain payroll processes to employees, experience in effectively communicating key data.
- Outstanding analytic, organization and problem-solving skills for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to apply innovative and resourceful solutions to solve complex challenges.
- Embrace diverse and inclusive perspectives across the organization, elevate voices not always heard in analysis and strategy.
