Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

    Job Description

    We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a Sales Account Executive to join an established team, where you’ll play a key role in driving success by selling booth space and sponsorships for a major annual tradeshow in the Building and Construction market. Your efforts will directly contribute to the growth of this dynamic industry event.

    • Work independently and with the Sales Manager to create strategic plans to achieve revenue goals by generating new sales ideas and researching new markets and trends.
    • Prospect for new business through various sources, including industry and other publications, websites, and competitive shows.
    • Develop strong relationships with customers and ensure they receive continued service related to their investments.
    • Prepare customized business proposals for prospective and existing clients.
    • Customize sponsorship and booth space offerings to fit the needs of clients.
    • Provide accurate sales projections and forecasts.
    • Maintain and update sales databases.
    • Work closely with show management to develop creative sales messages and marketing promotions.
    • Function as an integral part of overall show management effort in performing additional duties as required.
    • Travel as required to tradeshows and/or to visit with clients and prospects as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Preferred: Tradeshow-specific sales experience
    • Creative, charismatic, and energetic
    • Strong time management and ability to multi-task effectively
    • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; sales database management knowledge is a plus
    • Excellent verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
    • Team-focused, collaborative mindset; able to work seamlessly with exhibitors and internal teams
    • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and a fast learner
    • Exceptional customer service skills

    Additional Information:

    • Location: Dallas, TX (hybrid)
    • Salary: $58,000 - $63,000 plus commission.
