Temp Accounting Manager

How you’ll be impactful:

As a Temp Accounting Manager, you will oversee the accounting function for multiple companies, including maintaining the general ledger, preparing monthly financial reports and account reconciliations. You will be the primary point of contact for understanding the revenue of one of the Business Units. The Accounting Manager reports to the Controller and will play a key role within our Finance team.

Please note: At minimum, this will be a 4-month opportunity.

What you’ll be doing:

• Responsible for GL accounting, including month-end entries related to cash equivalents, debt accounting, lease accounting, and accruals.
• Manage the close process, ensuring all general ledger reconciliation workpapers are accurate, and include adequate supporting documentation.
• Perform flux analysis on the respective balance sheet and P&L accounts.
• Work with the team to identify and create efficiencies in general accounting functions.
• Responsible for intercompany reconciliation.
• Recommend proper accounting treatment and provide guidance related to new pronouncements or changes to the team.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or finance.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Supervisory experience.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP, general accounting processes and internal controls, and financial analysis tools and techniques.
• Proficient in Excel formulas and pivot tables; and experience with top-tier ERP and related reporting applications.
• Advanced analytical problem-solving skills.
• Strong team player who works well in a fast-paced, changing environment.
