As a key member of our managed services team, you will assist in the creation, migration and support of critical client IT infrastructure and applications leveraging your expertise across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud technologies. In this role you will provide thought leadership and hands-on technical execution to optimize client environments and ensure robust, scalable solutions that need their needs.
Responsible for:
· Analyze, implement, support, and provide recommendations for on-premises and or cloud-based (AWS) solutions to clients.
· Design and Deploy Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure to host new and existing line of business applications both on-premises and in the cloud (AWS).
· Heavy focus on Windows Systems Engineer/Administration.
· Maintain infrastructure best practices to ensure system security.
· Monitor and test system recovery accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies (Veeam backup recovery, Probax, AWS backup).
· Work with our Technical Account Managers and Customers to provide recommendations and technology roadmaps to meet customers' business needs.
· Work with our team to design on-premise and cloud infrastructure that follows well-architected guidelines.
· Actively participate in team meetings and cross functional interactions.
· Keep team members and supervisors informed of progress and issues.
· Actively contribute to client project status meetings.
· Contribute to R&D projects to validate/invalidate new services and solutions for IS catalog.
· Contribute to internal process improvement projects.
· Update, improve and leverage customer runbooks.
· Providing off-hours support on a rotational basis (on-call).
· Off-hours maintenance may be required on an as needed basis.
How you will be successful:
· Must obtain and/or maintain Microsoft 365 certified enterprise administrator expert.
· Become familiar with a wide variety of IT infrastructure, security, AWS cloud solutions, etc. to support diverse customer environments.
· Build trust and satisfaction by being responsive, understanding needs, and providing clear communication.
· Timely responses to email, phone, Slack communications.
· Provide excellent diagnosis and problem solving across many technologies is critical for identifying and resolving incidents efficiently.
· Leverage tools and scripts to automate repetitive tasks that improves productivity and reliability
· Solve problems in a collaborative, team environment.
· Maintain proficiency with tooling used by the Managed Services Team. This includes remote monitoring management (RMM), and ticketing systems.
· Must be able to self-manage and calmly handle multiple customer environments and simultaneous.
· Multi-tasking is often needed to handle multiple customer environments and simultaneous issues.
· Keeping customers' infrastructure secure and compliant should be a priority
What experience you’ll need
· Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years related experience(Computer Science, Information Technology, or another relevant program).
· Must obtain and/or maintain Microsoft 365 certified enterprise administrator expert.
· 5+ years professional IT experience.
· 1+ years professional experience with AWS.
· Experience Architecting complex solutions on VMware and Hyper-V.
· AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification Solutions Architect Associate must be obtained within your first six months.
· Office 365 and other on-premise technologies.
· Experience in common scripting languages (Powershell).
