We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Copywriter to lead our copywriting team. In this strategic role, you will oversee the development and execution of all copy content, ensuring it aligns with our brand voice, and drives conversions.
As a Lead Copywriter you will also be responsible for crafting compelling and persuasive copy that enhances the customer experience across various channels, including websites, email campaigns, product descriptions, and marketing materials.
The role requires a deep understanding of the retail/food industry, excellent writing skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all content is aligned with brand messaging and business objectives.
- Content Creation: Develop high-quality, engaging copy for a range of retail focused channels, including websites, email campaigns, product descriptions, social media, and in-store materials.
- Brand Voice: Ensure all copy is consistent with the brand’s tone of voice and effectively communicates the brand’s values and identity. Adapt the style and tone of writing as needed for different audiences and platforms.
- Email Campaigns: Create persuasive and engaging email content that drives customer action, whether it’s to purchase, learn more, or engage with the brand. Ensure all emails are optimised for conversion and align with marketing strategies.
- A background in writing about food & drink and/or a general passion and love of food.
- Website Content: Develop copy for landing pages, banners, and other online content, ensuring it is SEO-friendly and contributes to a positive user experience. Collaborate with the design team to ensure copy complements visual elements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, design, and product teams to align copy with broader campaigns and initiatives. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the development of creative concepts.
- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit copy to ensure it is free of errors, consistent in style, and aligns with brand guidelines. Provide feedback and revisions to other team members as needed.
